Chinese New Year Day 1 to Day 7

As of last year (actually more like a tradition now), my parents are here in Brisbane for Chinese New Year. One of the rare occasion where the whole family can gather together. Not much of any fanfare during CNY here in Brisbane, and especially with baby T still being quite young (he will be 6 months old end of this month) most of our time is spent being at home. And mum was busy cooking for us (think yummy home cook food and most importantly the soup that I missed!). The parents are happy to be with their first grandchild. Dad has been playing and cooing around with baby T.

We did bring baby T out for his check ups and also go for lunches as well. So far, am just enjoying spending time with the parents and getting T used to the routine of sending him to mum's place early in the morning and picking him up later at night for once I am starting work which will come in 2 weeks time. Feel like I miss my baby already.

2012 - the year that was

2012 has been a challenging year for us. The year got off great. Just found out that I was pregnant. Awesome news. Prod along the rest of the year - my sister's wedding in April and even going back to Malaysia in June for a little 'babymoon'. By myself, as the husband doesn't like to travel much. Love going back. Even took the epic 8 hours journey from KL to Kelantan by car.

Attended a wedding here and there. And before we know it: Tristan has arrived! Premature by 4 weeks. Weren't exactly ready I was still working the day I was admitted to hospital. And things at home weren't exactly prepared as well. But then so is life, cannot be prepared for everything.

And then we moved as well - just before Christmas! But it is lovely as we had Christmas to settle down at our new place.

Here is to start of Motherhood!
